The reviews of chinese drama “Love’s Rebellion” are quite diverse. From the performance of the actors, the image of the emperor played by Zhang Linghe has impressed some netizens, and some netizens think he is charming; Nan Yan played by Jing Tian is lively and cute, smart and intelligent, and full of girlishness.
“Love’s Rebellion” is a costume fairy tale love drama produced by iQiyi, Straw Bear Pictures, Wuyi Culture, and Dayou Pictures. Directed by Wen Deguang, and starred by Jing Tian, Zhang Ling He, Guan Hong, and Chang Long, with Qiao Zhenyu, Fan Ming, Gao Lu, and Huang Haibing as special guests.
A simple synopsis of this drama: Love’s Rebellion
Nan Yan (Jing Tian), a female disciple of the Yangyue sect and a poison doctor, is saved by a mysterious power from being attacked by demons, and picks up a man lying on the road and goes home.
She finds out that this stranger has the same heart disease as Nan Yan’s mother, Nan Rao, and takes him home, saying that he would be a good subject to test her mother’s medicine and that they could treat him together.
Nan Yan graciously tells the man that she will treat his heart disease, but the man, Ji Yang (Zhang Ling He), is shocked and tries to leave immediately. However, his body won’t listen to him. He has no choice but to stay at Nan Yan’s house, when Nan Yan suddenly changes and attacks him.
Shao Cang / Ji Yang who was said to be the Emperor of the world’s number one sect, “Tao Sheng Tian”. He was falsely accused of falling into evil and killing all his fellow disciples, and is being pursued by the entire sect. However, he desperately needs the “Seven Sins Manual” to clear his name.
When he finds out that he needs to find the other half of the “Seven Sins Manual” sleeping inside Nan Yan to get his hands on the other half, he decides to obediently accompany Nan Yan in treating her…
Final Review – Love’s Rebellion
Their love is filled with absolute trust and affection, so it was good to watch without worrying even when Ji Yang falls into darkness. They suffer hardships, but there was a sense of security that their feelings are unwavering.
Also, the friendship between Yin Ya, the fox spirit who wants to free the sealed clan and who becomes friends with the Yangyue Sect, and Mu Zhan Ting, the Prince of Longdu who ran away from home to become a poet, was wonderful.
Especially Mu Zhan Ting. He was a really good guy with his honest personality, his willingness to risk his life for his friends, and his good birth to read poor poetry with confidence.
There are a few scenes here and there that make you wonder if they’ve been cut entirely (the length of each episode varies, and 35 minutes seems short considering the name value of the two main characters…), but the story unfolds at a good pace and I ended up finishing the whole thing in one go.
In short, my review for the Chinese drama Love’s Rebellion is that you should definitely watch it. Have a nice day!
